When our children started to get get old enough to engage in activities we found that our dining room table was often occupied by finger paints and water colors.  This became a problem when it was time to eat and we had to move everything before we could all sit down.  After some judicial shopping for childrens furniture we came up with a child sized table and chair set that they can use to their hearts content.  When necessary I can still pull a big persons chair over to their table so that I can participate in their artistic endeavors.

If you have the opportunity to provide some recognition to a group of volunteer workers who have just finished up a project there is nothing better than award certificates for them to proudly display at home in an office, family room, or on a wall someplace.  These are valuable pieces of saying “thank you” for a job well done.  It is a tiny little gift of appreciation but it says it very loud and clear.  It is such a thoughtful gift and reminder that they will be happy to receive it and display it.  This certificate will be a reminder for the many happy moments of a successful outcome.

I never thought that my kids would one day ask me if they could get tattoos.  I wish I had thought about what I would say sooner though, because when my daughter told me that foot tattoos are really popular now and that she wanted one, I freaked out a little.  Eventually I calmed down and we talked about it.  I decided that this would be fine if it wasn’t very big and that we could actually go in together and get it done.  In the end, I was just happy that I had the kind of relationship with my daughter where she asked first, and then we did it together.

As a woman in a male dominated profession, and a Mother of two small sons, my fitness level is crucial. If I do not want to get hurt at my job, my muscle tone must stay at a peak. Fortunately, my husband and I work together, and he has seen my recent struggles to gain the fitness and muscle strength needed for our line of work. During his high school and college years my husband regularly lifted weights, and he helped me set up several weightlifting workouts designed to tone me up and keep me safer while working with one thousand pound plus horses.

Last year when I was on a trip to Greenland I had a chance to visit a village where the people lived in Igloos. From inside the igloo I noticed how much warmer inside than outside. The construction makes for great insulation. When I came back home I found that I needed to get a new dog house. I have a bit of a sweating problem. I sweat a lot on my palms, my feet and under my arms. I have lived with it for years. However, I am getting tired of trying to hide it and be embarrassed by sweat rings on my blouses, etc. I heard about a product that is supposed to really work well. I have been looking for a good price on Drysol online. Part of the reason that I have not done anything about it is because I do not have a lot of money to spend on something. But enough is enough.
