My English teacher assigned a writing project that allowed us the freedom to choose any topic that included a research component. I’m a girl and I love music, so I decided to research the best female group on the charts today. I studied the girls’ individual histories as well as their progress as a group. I charted record sales and concert tickets sold as well as endorsements. Of course I listened to their music until I knew it by heart, but that wasn’t really for the project. I did examine the lyrics to their songs to look for recurring themes. It was a great project. Why can’t they all be like that?
