Heart Disease Prevention Strategies

The importance of a proper diet and regular exercise cannot be over-emphasized for preventing heart disease. Restriction of saturated fats in the diet is also prudenty. Exercise for those above the age of 35 should be performed after consulting the doctor especially if one has been sedentary all the while. Long term prevention includes regular medical check up. Medical check up will not prevent heart disease but early detection can prevent it from becoming a more serious problem. Early treatment is a major contributing factor in the successful treatment of heart disease. Hence, regular check up is vital for those with high risk of developing heart disease.
