The house we constructed last year has a large patio, and a modern, stylish one at that. I found out during my search for a suitable one, that precast fireplaces are manufactured from high quality refractory materials, destined to last a long time. You can even have your own finishing touch added, be it stone, stucco, or tile. The stone fireplace that we bought set in beautifully on the patio and I am really happy to have spent some extra money as it is a worthwhile expenditure.
