There are mainly two types of diabetes. Type I diabetes happens when the pancreas produces little or no insulin. This may happen when the insulin producing cells beta cells of pancreas are deactivated by the immune system of the body. Patients with this type of diabetes need to take insulin for survival. Type II diabetes is the most common type of diabetes (over 90% of total diabetes cases) occurs with growing age, physical inactivity, obesity and heredity.
