I Wanted the Kids to Learn How to Raise Pigs
When I got married and had children my husband and I moved to the city. We loved the convenience and excitement of living there but I missed the country. I would spend hours daydreaming about the natural beauty of my hometown, the pleasures of gardening, and even the farm animals. My father had been an expert at raising pigs and I wanted my own kids to learn how to raise pigs. Eventually we sold our apartment and bought a farm. It is more work than I remembered but I was right about the kids. They are healthier than ever and love showing off the animals they love caring for.
