Servicing Your Golf Cart Batteries is Vitally Important !

Firstly, you should examine the outside appearance of the golf cart batteries. Look for cracks in the containers and tops of the batteries. Posts and connections should be free of dirt, corrosion and fluids. You should replace any damaged batteries.

Check that all vent caps are tight. Clean the battery tops with a cloth or a brush and a solution of baking soda and water. Clean the battery terminals and the inside of the cable clamps with a post and clamp cleaner. Reconnect the clamps to the terminals and thinly coat them with petroleum jelly.

Water should only be added after fully charging the golf cart battery. Prior to charging there should be enough water to cover the plates. For further information on how to properly service and maintain your golf cart batteries refer to the Electric Golf Cart Battery Guide.
